The 2012 fellows were honored in June during the IACP's 18th annual Compounders on Capitol Hill conference and legislative event held in Washington, D.C.
Pharmacy compounding is the long-established tradition in pharmacy practice that enables physicians to prescribe and patients to take medicines specially prepared by pharmacists to meet patients individual needs.
The fellowship program was established in 1997 to distinguish pharmacists who are exemplary in their commitment and professionalism to the practice of pharmacy compounding.
Since the program's inception, 70 pharmacists have been honored as members of this elite group.
